The Triplets defeated the Ghost Ballers 51-38 on Saturday night to solidify themselves as regular season champions.

Al Jefferson scored four points, grabbed two rebounds, and blocked a shot in the Triplets’ regular season finale.

Big Al’s first bucket came early in the first half. Jefferson swatted Chris Johnson and laid the ball up and in to give the Triplets a 4-2 lead. His second basket also came in the first half. Big Al cleaned up an Alan Anderson miss by grabbing the offensive board and sinking a hook shot to give the Triplets the 9-8 lead.

In the first half, the Ghost Ballers had an 18-14 lead, but the Triplets closed the half on a 13-2 run, capped off by a Joe Johnson three-pointer to give them a 27-20 lead at the break.

The Triplets never relinquished the lead in the second half as Iso Joe, who set the single-season scoring record in the BIG3 this year, carried the team to their seventh victory of the season.

The Triplets take on the 3 Headed Monsters in the first round of the BIG3 Playoffs.

In Week 7, the Triplets narrowly defeated the 3 Headed Monsters 50-48. The 3 Headed Monsters, led by Mario Chalmers and coached by Gary Payton closed out their season with back-to-back wins, so their matchup with Big Al and the Triplets should be a tough battle to start the playoffs.

Tip-off for the BIG3 is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
