It didn’t earn the Indiana Pacers a win, but Al Jefferson’s effort on Wednesday night sent a clear signal.
The big man is back, and he has still has what it takes to contribute in a meaningful way.
Big Al was one of the highlights of Indiana’s 114-97 defeat, coming off the bench to score 19 points on 7-of-10 shots, and adding six rebounds—all in a just 22 minutes.
That’s some serious efficiency.
At one point, No. 25 led all scorers:

According to the Pacers, Al’s 19 points were five more than his previous season high, and the most since he scored 20 in back-to-back contests at Sacramento and the Lakers on Jan. 18-20, 2017.
